Does IHD include the drivers?
No. IHD is the dispatch software: driver app, dispatch dashboard, tracking, payouts. You hire and pay drivers directly. The trade-off is a lower cost per delivery in exchange for owning the operational complexity.
When should I use IHD vs. Uber Direct?
IHD fits high volume (50+ deliveries a week) and a tight delivery radius, when you want full control of the experience. Uber Direct fits lower volume with zero operational overhead. Many restaurants run both: IHD as the primary, Uber Direct for peak overflow.
How much does IHD cost?
It's included in every Eatsy plan as a module, with no extra software fee. You pay your drivers directly: net cost per delivery is typically $3 to $5, versus $7 to $10 for marketplaces.
What about driver insurance and worker classification?
You decide whether drivers are employees or contractors, based on your state's labor rules. Eatsy hands you export-ready payroll data; we don't handle classification or insurance.
Can drivers work for multiple restaurants?
Yes. Drivers can be assigned to more than one restaurant account, useful for restaurant groups or a shared-fleet arrangement.
How does customer tracking work?
Customers see the live driver location and ETA in your branded app, on the order confirmation page, and by text. Branded as you, not as the dispatch software.
