You’re 24 hours from going live. Run this checklist first.

The 12-item checklist

  • Every item has a price.
  • Every item has a description (EN + ES).
  • Modifier groups are configured (sizes, proteins, sauces).
  • Allergen tags are reviewed and confirmed.
  • Items currently 86’d are marked as inactive.
  • Photos are uploaded for your top 10-15 items (photos boost conversion about 12%).
  • Featured products are pinned (3-6 high-margin items).

Branding (Channels → Brand config)

  • Logo is uploaded at the company and location level.
  • Main color and contrast color are set (contrast is not #FFFFFF).
  • Splash screens are configured in EN and ES.
  • Social links are added (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).

Operations (confirm these with your onboarding manager)

  • Hours of operation are confirmed.
  • Delivery footprint is confirmed (zones, fees, minimums).
  • Payment gateway is connected (Shift4 or NMI) and a test charge ran successfully.
  • Tax rates are set per location.
  • A test order has been placed and fulfilled end-to-end.

Marketing

  • An “Order online” button is added to your existing website (if you have one).
  • Your Google Business Profile is updated with the new ordering URL.
  • A social media announcement is scheduled (Instagram, Facebook).
  • An email to your existing customer list is drafted (if you have one).

Don’t skip the test order. The number-one mistake new operators make is launching without one real end-to-end test. Place an order yourself, pay with your card, watch it land in your Orders log and on the Order Management tablet, then fulfill it. That one test catches about 80% of preventable problems.

After launch

  • Day 1-7: monitor Orders and the Order Management tablet throughout service. Catch any orders that don’t process cleanly.
  • Day 7: review your first week of data: total orders, top channels, top items, average ticket.
  • Day 14: schedule a check-in with your onboarding manager. Adjust delivery footprint, hours, anything that isn’t working.
  • Day 30: start your loyalty program if you didn’t on day one. See Loyalty Program Design.

Common day-one issues (and fixes)

  • Receipt printer doesn’t print: check the cable, restart the printer, then see the troubleshooting guide.
  • A customer says they can’t pay: check that the gateway is connected and live, not in test mode, under Account → Settings → Payment providers. See the troubleshooting guide.
  • An order doesn’t appear: refresh the page, check your internet connection, then see the troubleshooting guide.

If something’s off and you can’t figure it out, contact your onboarding manager. That’s what they’re there for.
